Why I built it
I wanted one place to compare all the selling apps side by side, because each platform explains its own fees but none of them tells you whether you'd keep more money selling the same item somewhere else. I built the calculator for UK sellers first. When Vinted arrived in Australia and eBay and Depop dropped their selling fees there in 2026, I made this separate Australian version with Australian figures.
Run from the UK
I'm not in Australia, so I rely on the platforms' own Australian pages and official sources such as the ATO and Australia Post, and I link to them so you can check. If something works differently in practice, please tell me.
How the figures are checked
- Fees come from each platform's own Australian fee pages. The calculator page links to a source for every platform.
- The date the fees were last checked is shown on every page. It currently reads 13 Oct 2026.
- When a platform changes its fees, I update the calculator and add the change to the fee change log.
- The results are estimates. Platforms sometimes vary fees by item, promotion or account type, so always check the final figure on the platform before you list.
Independent
This site isn't connected to or endorsed by Vinted, eBay, Depop, Etsy, Facebook, Gumtree, Australia Post, Sendle or any other company. Their names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe them. The ranking is worked out purely from each platform's fees and the figures you type in. Nobody can pay to appear higher.
How the site makes money
Right now it doesn't. The site is free to use, with no adverts and no affiliate links. If that changes, I'll say so here and update the privacy page first. Any adverts or affiliate links would never change the calculator's results or the order of the platforms.
